The City Council meets tonight at 7:00. Here's a link to tonight's agenda. I would guess that Item #7 will draw the most discussion. This item addresses a proposal to increases fees for use of the Hobbs Municipal Ice Center for the 2008-2009 season.
The Council packets show how Hobbs compares to other ice centers in Wisconsin and Minnesota in terms of its fee structure. In short, Hobbs is somewhat more expensive than many other ice centers in Wisconsin but is a bargain compared to most ice centers in Minnesota.
While this issue may not generate the same spirited discussion as we saw with the smoking ordinance, I would expect that there will be lively discussion. And this is always a good thing. Right?
